This technique looks to the dielectric increase in the chute as the normal moving product compacts into a plugged condition. The Model 9830-PCD plugged chute detector is sized to fit into the chute wall so there is no intrusion into the flow of material. There are no moving parts or optics that can break or foul. The electronics is mounted safely away from the vibrational affects of the chute.
